Through self-study, we can identify the areas we are struggling with, such as grammar, vocabulary, or pronunciation. By focusing on these weaknesses, we can seek clarification from our teachers and classmates during class time. This targeted approach to learning helps us make significant progress in a shorter period. For example, if we have difficulty with irregular verbs, we can spend some time before class memorizing and practicing them. In class, we can then ask questions or seek clarification on the usage of irregular verbs, making the most of the teacher's expertise.
In addition to improving our understanding and focusing on weaknesses, pre-classroom preparation also enhances our active learning and critical thinking skills. Instead of passively receiving information from the teacher, pre-classroom preparation encourages us to take an active role in our own learning process. Learning a foreign language is a gradual process, and it requires consistent effort and practice.
