看美剧是学习英语、提高口语的最佳方法之一，但是很多人并不懂得如何正确有效地看美剧来提高英语水平，只是单单为了剧情，往往花费了时间又得不偿失。
方法/步骤
选择美剧
首先建议选择情境喜剧，比如《老友记》，台词简单较为日常化口语化，人物语气表演夸张，有背景笑声帮助找笑点
其次建议选择自己感兴趣的美剧，一方面可以激发看下去的热情，更利于模仿角色说话
关掉字幕
字幕在上面会很干扰我们的，会不自觉想要看。关掉字幕有助于听懂——理解——记忆这个过程，不懂得意思就反复听，直到实在不清楚意思为止，再看字幕，记下用法，如此以来才能印象深刻。
反复听睡前听
听一遍是不够的，反复听，久而久之，我们的语音语调都会收到潜移默化的影响。这样相当于把自己置身于英语环境之中，培养自己与英语这门语言的熟悉程度，时间越久，成效越明显。
做笔记
记下美剧中出现的不认识的单词或者干扰理解的句子，或者英美文化，有助于增加自己的知识储备和对英美国家的了解，有助于口语的提高和便于以后与外国人交流。
跟读
听着剧中人物说一句，我们跟着说一句。模仿语音、语调、语气，此方法要求较高，但是坚持下来，久而久之，想到一个句子就能脱口而出了，并且能够较为标准的表达自己的意思。
模仿
模仿自己喜欢的角色，兴趣是最好的老师。找一个或者几个自己喜欢的角色，模仿其语音、语调、语速，可以学习他独特的表达方式和一些口头禅，模仿自己喜爱的角色，何尝不是一件愉快的事呢?

This is what I'd like to ask you to help with. A little more time for children to be children. Stretch the moment of magic and playfulness. Distract them from the realities of a world gone mad so that they can laugh with their breath rather than sob with their tears.

Especially those hiding in buildings as bombs rain down, or being handed shaking with fear or cold into a boat to escape environmental disaster or war. Please help to light up their worlds with a moment of joy and hope.
Spare a thought too for those millions who want to write to you but through illiteracy can't. Hear their words and help to give them the time and chance to learn how to read and write so they can better their lives and escape their impoverished beginnings.

Cumberbatch was among a number of stars who penned letters to Santa including Annie Lennox, Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Thandie Newton and Russell Brand - who thanked him for "Jeremy Corbyn, Charlotte Church and the new series of Peep Show".
